IUVSTA EBARA Award Now Open

This award recognises the contributions of an excellent young researcher or engineer to environmentally-friendly solutions in the area of vacuum-related science and technologies in an innovational or novel way. The award will be presented at IVC-21 (International Vacuum Conference) in Sweden in July 2019.

The EBARA CORPORATION (EBARA as we call ourselves) is a Japanese-founded global group that has continuously contributed to areas related to water, air, and the environment for over 100 years since its establishment. Technologies that lead to improvements in the environment and a reduction in the environmental load are rooted in EBARA's DNA. EBARA provides will not only pumps and other products and services, but also contributes to the education of engineers who are responsible for future of society.

EBARA will present the IUVSTA-EBARA Award to the very first winner this year at IVC-21 in Malmo, Sweden

APPLICATION DETAILS

Applicant eligibility: Only applicants within 10 years following their PhD defense will be admitted to participate.
A summary demonstrating the environmental benefit the research brings that has been enabled by an area of vacuum-related science and technology.
Two recommendation letters from past or present professors or research directors.
